These terms govern your use of Doctor Specialty Coaching. Please read them before you book. By creating an account or booking a session, you agree to them.
Doctor Specialty Coaching is a trading name of Erma Qazi Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17285386, with its registered office at Pandle House, 70 Grange Road East, Wirral, CH41 5FE. You can contact us at [email protected]. We aim to reply within 14 working days.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Erma Qazi Ltd. "You" means the person using the site. "Coach" means a doctor offering coaching through the site. "Session" means a one to one coaching session booked through the site.
We run a platform that introduces doctors applying to UK specialty training to doctors already appointed in those specialties, and that handles scheduling and payment between them.
We do not provide the coaching ourselves. When you book a session, you enter into a contract with your coach, who is an independent self employed professional. We are not a party to that contract. We act as the coach's agent for the limited purpose of listing their services, managing the booking and collecting payment.
You must be 18 or over, and either a registered medical practitioner or a medical student applying to a programme this site covers, to book a session. You must give accurate information when you register and keep it accurate.
You are responsible for everything done through your account. Do not share your login. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.
Each coach sets their own price, their own availability, and the scope of what their sessions cover. The price shown on a coach's profile is the total price you will pay. There are no booking fees, service charges or other amounts added at checkout.
Many sessions work best if you send material in advance: your portfolio, your self assessment evidence, or a draft application. Anything you send must be fully anonymised. Remove patient names, dates of birth, NHS numbers, hospital numbers, addresses, and any combination of details that could identify a patient. This applies to case based discussions, reflective entries, audit data, logbooks, clinic letters and screenshots. Neither this platform nor any coach on it is an appropriate route for patient identifiable information. You remain bound by your professional duty of confidentiality and by the GMC's guidance on it. If you send us or a coach material containing patient identifiable information, you may be in breach of that duty and of data protection law, and we may be required to report it. If you realise you have sent something you should not have, tell us immediately at [email protected] and we will help you contain it.
Your coach will review your material, give you their honest assessment, and tell you what they would do differently. Your coach will not write your application, your personal statement or your answers for you. They will not complete your self assessment. They will not tell you to claim anything you cannot evidence. The work you submit to a recruitment office must be your own, and every piece of evidence you claim must be genuine. Recruitment offices treat fabricated or exaggerated evidence as a probity matter, which is a GMC issue and not merely an application one. Coaches are required to decline any request for help with this and to report it to us.
Coaches must not coach any candidate they may be involved in assessing, whether by scoring a portfolio, sitting on an interview panel, assessing a station, or taking part in a shortlisting or ranking decision. Coaches declare any selection role when they join and again before each recruitment round, and are required to check before accepting a booking and to decline where there is any doubt. We will cancel the session and refund you in full, whether or not it has already taken place.
Payment is taken in full when you book, by card, through Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We collect payment as agent for your coach. Your payment obligation to the coach is discharged when we receive the money. Coaches are paid after each session has been delivered. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies.
9.1 Your statutory right to cancel — Because you booked online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of your booking confirmation and receive a full refund. This right arises under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. There is one exception: if your session takes place during those 14 days, at your request, you cannot cancel it afterwards. If you cancel before the session has taken place, you receive a full refund. To cancel, email [email protected] or use the cancel option in your account. We will refund you within 14 days of being told, to the card you paid with.
More than 24 hours before your session: you may reschedule free of charge to any slot your coach has available. Less than 24 hours before your session, or if you do not attend: the session is not refundable. Your coach has set that time aside and will usually have already read your material. If your coach does not attend: you receive a full refund automatically, without having to ask. If your coach cancels: full refund, or a rebooking at a time that suits you, whichever you prefer. 9.3 If a session goes ahead but is not what was advertised — Email [email protected] within 7 days. We will consider what the listing promised, speak to your coach, and respond within 5 working days. Where a coach did not deliver what their listing described, we will refund you. Where the coaching was delivered as described but you disagreed with the advice given, we will not refund you. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 your coach must perform the service with reasonable care and skill. If they did not, you have rights against them, and we will help you exercise them.
