Hi! My name is Dr Agalya Ramanathan. I’m an academic GP working in London/Oxford. I completed the ACF in GP/medical education in 2022 at the Royal Free hospital/UCL. Since then, well as being a GP, I have had the opportunity to work in primary care medical education within various universities (initially UCL, then Imperial, City St George’s and now Oxford). I am working to help improve exposure to and awareness of academic primary care for medical students and early career doctors. I studied medicine at Cambridge and Imperial. I originally embarked on a career in O&G, and started working as an ST1 in Southend hospital before realising I missed the depth and breadth of general practice, and was fortunate to secure an ACF post which I started in 2018. I am actively involved in medical education research, have presented at conferences and published and am always keen to support and mentor colleagues where I can. I’m available for coaching for ACF applications and careers in medical education.
